The old bridge over the river at the bottom of Spylaw Street is a listed structure. The parapet walls of the bridge facing the road are in very poor condition - stones and pointing missing and some stones almost completely eroded away. The bridge structure has not be closely examined, but it would be worrying if the condition is similar to the parapets.(City Development department issue)

The road surface on Spylaw Bank Road between no.52 and 47 has potholes and is in poor condition. This area of the road is always in poor condition and had significantly deteriorated recently. This is at a point where there is no pavement; there are parked cars which narrow the available roadway which is also not particularly well lit. All this makes the holes difficult to avoid when driving in either direction along the road [Clarence No.15256]
Similarly there are potholes at Nos. 7 & 18 and Nos. 10-14 Spylaw Bank Road. The general state of Spylaw Bank Road is dreadful and has been for a long time.
