Colinton Parish Church from Bridge Road

The two churches, Colinton Parish Church and St Cuthbert’s Epicopal Church form the mainstay of the community.  They act as a base for many community activities such as Colinton Literary Society, the local Boys Brigade, Country Dancing as well as Badminton clubs and a venue for the Colinton Orchestra.  There are also many other local groups such as the Colinton History Society, Colinton Garden Club and well as the 108th Pentland Scout Group and the local Girl Guide groups.
The two public houses, the Spylaw Tavern and the Colinton Inn, provide meals and relaxation for local residents and visitors to the village who enjoy the local walks through the Dell and in the many woodland areas around Colinton.
