CAA's AGM
This year's AGM will be held from 7.00pm at the Colinton Bowling Club on Thursday 17 September 2026
Proposed Amendment to the Constitution – Quorum Requirement
The Annual General Meeting held on 17 September 2026 was not quorate, meaning the proposed Resolution to amend the Constitution could not be formally voted on at the meeting. The Resolution seeks to update the quorum requirement from 25 members to 15, reflecting the gradual decline in attendance at AGMs in recent years.
To ensure the Association can continue to conduct essential governance business, the full membership has now been notified of the proposed amendment. Members have been given a two‑week period in which to raise any objections.
If no objections are received within that timeframe, the Resolution will be considered passed and the Constitution will be updated accordingly. This approach is a standard and practical governance measure used by many long‑standing community organisations when attendance levels make traditional quorums difficult to achieve.
